STEVE HARVEY SIGNS MULTI-YEAR DEAL TO HOST MISS UNIVERSE - COLOMBIA & PHILLIPINES REACT [VIDEO]

After witnessing Steve Harvey’s HUGE mistake as host of the 2015 Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas last week. Many are wondering how this will affect his career as a host, as he seemingly wasn’t prepared to correctly read the final cue card stating the runner ups and winner.

But according to the show’s producer, Steve was an excellent host and is more than welcome to come back and host 2016 Miss Universe in Belize. Check out the post-pageant press conference in which Steve admits

“I AM A MAN AND A MADE A MISTAKE, BUT I’M STANDING HERE AND I DON’T HAVE TO BE.”

In the clip above you can also see the producer defend Steve Harvey as a professional who simply made a mistake and corrected it on his own. What we now know is, days before the show aired, Steve signed a Multi-year contract to host Miss Universe pageants and will be paid more than any other host in the franchise’s history!

Let’s take a look at how Miss Colombia reacted to the embarrassing moment backstage after the crown was stripped from her head.

As you can see, many of the contestants rallied around her in support. Miss Germany even went on record to say that the girls all voted for Colombia over Philippines to win. Maybe, Steve Harvey shared their sentiments… But in the end it was the judges who made the final decision and the winner truly is Pia Wurtzbach who was comforted only by 3rd runner up Miss USA.
